Voluntary Accident Guard

Accident Guard is a supplemental coverage available to you and your family members, which provides 24-hour coverage for accident related losses. Accident Guard pays directly to you, in addition to any other coverage you have.
Even though medical coverage will cover accidental injuries, there are many non-medical costs associated with accidents: For example:

• Time off work
• Trips to the doctor or hospital
• Deductibles
• Co-pays

Plan features include:

• On and off the job coverage
• Covers participation in organized sports
• No medical questions asked
• Policy is portable should you leave Baptist Health
• Premiums are paid on a pre-tax basis

Accident Guard provides coverage for:

• Hospital confinement
• Emergency room treatment
• ICU confinement
• Physician visits
• Accidental death & dismemberment
• Physical therapy
• Pays up to $10,000 for certain specific injuries sustained in an accident
• Tendon/ligament repair
• $60 wellness benefit (one per family) after 90 days of coverage
